Let’s Connect aims to improve the community infrastructure and social capital of an area,

reducing social isolation and enabling communities to do ‘things’ for themselves.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, it delivers an approach that is both supportive and empowering, led by experienced volunteers and community support workers with a combined total of over 50 years of expertise. It work with communities to bring them together, develop social connectivity, build confidence and release latent talent and potential.

Our Story

Let's Connect has developed from the Grassland Hasmoor Big Local - a community-led initiative investing £1m+ into Grassmoor and Hasland to make it a better place to live. It now has received a further tranche of funding up until January 2028 to support its programme of delivery.

The Big Local experience supported the view that there needs to be a local focal point.

Fundamental to this was the realisation that there needed to be a conduit that supported the community development process. As a result, and following years of concerted effort, the Let's Connect Project has been forged to continue to take forward community renewal in Grassmoor and Hasland and promote it as a service to other communities.
