Partnerships
At Let’s Connect Hasland, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our work is strengthened through partnerships with local councils, housing associations, voluntary organisations, and community groups across Hasland, Grassmoor, and the wider Derbyshire area.

We are proud to have received funding and support from multiple sources, which allows us to deliver impactful projects and services for people of all ages, including:

-
Local Councils – helping shape community initiatives and provide sustainable support.
-
Friends of Eastwood Park – supporting activities and events for local residents.
-
Hasland Senior Citizens Group – working together to promote wellbeing and social connection for older adults.
-
Children and Young People Group – engaging and empowering young members of our community.
-
Rykneld Homes Community Involvement Team – supporting community engagement through outreach at events, connecting residents with services and opportunities.
-
Grassmoor Community Groups – strengthening grassroots participation and support networks.
-
Derbyshire Voluntary Action (DVA) – awarding grants and guidance to expand our services and reach.
-
Local CVS (Council for Voluntary Service) – providing ongoing support, advice, and guidance to help strengthen our organisation and develop our services.
-

Through these partnerships, Let’s Connect Hasland is able to reach everyone in the community, deliver meaningful activities, and foster strong, lasting relationships across generations. Together, we are building a more connected, inclusive and resilient community.

Reaching Communities - National Lottery Funding
Let’s Connect Hasland has grown from the legacy of the Big Local initiative in Grassmoor and Hasland, becoming the lead organisation driving forward community development and connection in the area. Building on this strong foundation, we are proud to be a funded partner of the National Lottery Community Fund through its Reaching Communities programme.
In December 2024, we secured a grant of £187,996, enabling us to deliver a comprehensive Let’s Connect service across Grassmoor and Hasland through to January 2028. This investment recognises both the strength of our existing work and the trust placed in us to continue supporting and growing our local community.

Through this partnership, we deliver a range of connected services designed to improve quality of life and strengthen community resilience:

-
Volunteer Support Service – recruiting, supporting, and developing local volunteers through engagement events and an online volunteer portal, helping people gain skills, confidence, and opportunities to give back.
-
Community Information Service – promoting activities, events, and opportunities through our website, social media, local publications, and community networks to ensure residents are informed and connected.
-
Community Enablement Service – providing hands-on support to individuals and groups, from setting up new community initiatives to strengthening existing organisations and helping them access funding.
-
Community Involvement Service – supporting resident-led groups and community events, including initiatives inspired by Big Local, to increase participation, pride, and connection across the area.

Alongside this, we manage The Hub @ The Club, a central community space in Hasland that provides a welcoming, accessible venue for activities, services, and events. This space plays a vital role in bringing people together and supporting both residents and partner organisations.
As part of our role, we also act as a trusted community anchor organisation, supporting smaller groups with funding applications and, where needed, acting as an accountable body to help bring projects to life.
