As a Youth Activity Volunteer, you'll help create fun, welcoming and positive opportunities for children, young people and families across our community projects. Whether you can spare a few hours occasionally or get involved more regularly, every contribution helps us provide engaging activities and safe spaces for local young people.
There are lots of ways to get involved depending on your interests and confidence. You might help set up and tidy away activities, prepare refreshments, support families during sessions, help with arts, crafts and games, assist with litter picking, distribute flyers, promote activities online, suggest ideas at planning meetings, or simply be a friendly face at events. Some volunteers enjoy helping behind the scenes, while others like getting involved directly with activities in Hasland, Grassmoor and surrounding areas.
No previous experience is needed—just enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to support your community. Training, guidance and support will be provided, and we'll work with you to find a role that suits your skills, interests and availability.
Eastwood Park
Volunteer
As an Eastwood Park Volunteer, you'll help support activities and events that bring local people together and make Eastwood Park a welcoming place for everyone. Whether you have a few hours to spare occasionally or would like to be involved throughout the year, there are plenty of ways to contribute.
Volunteers can get involved in planning meetings, share ideas for improving the park, help organise community events, support activities on the day, welcome visitors, assist with refreshments, put up posters, distribute flyers, help with litter picking, and lend a hand with setting up and tidying away. Our biggest annual event is Picnic in the Park, which brings together local families, community groups and organisations, and volunteers play a vital role in making it a success.
Volunteering with Eastwood Park is a great way to meet new people, make friends, build confidence and be part of a welcoming team that cares about the local community. Whether you enjoy getting stuck into practical tasks, helping at events, sharing ideas, or simply lending a hand when needed, every contribution helps make a difference.
